kinda had to write this and process a lot of this before trying to write #RazingBabel though bc whew writing 900 words of stream of consciousness last time got me having a massive PTSD meltdown but I could write 4,000 words this time and only cry one manly tear

I hate when I forget all the stuff I worldbuilt, but I guess things were only loosely defined in #InTheWatchfulCity and #RazingBabel is gonna have a lot more secondary world cosmology so, time to descend into exploring the cosmology of my secondary world??
I’ve been thinking about linguistic worldbuilding in #RazingBabel and about dieselpunk language piston capsules that fuckin slam your neural network with a jump-start that starts a decompression of super compressed information as a means of transmitting language
@segfaultvicta idk if you’ve read inthewatchful.city but the Gleaming in the frame story is basically just like, data flow, contextual recognition, it’s a lot more metaphysical than how I’m envisioning language in #RazingBabel
me: swear to god when I have time I’m gonna write a monograph that opens with “it might be total bullshit, but here’s my theory of consciousness and existence:”

“what makes your singular life any more worthy than the generations of lives you’ve destroyed? why should you be spared, when your own stratagem is to spare no one?”
#RazingBabel has been one of those books where I see the light and the end of the tunnel early on, but it’s a seam of light around a door, and I know I have to open the door and Go There instead of getting halfway there and choosing a cop-out exit, and that is terrifying

#QATalk Q2: If your book was a makeup palette, what colors would you use? What would be the names of some of the shades? Post an aesthetic if you wish! pic.twitter.com/dVBBrvacR8
