Hi everyone! Just a brief update to let you all know that I’ve relaunched my Patreon! If you’re not familiar with the platform, it’s a way for individuals to directly support creators by becoming patrons, inspired by the patronage system in Renaissance Italy.
There are three tiers you can join, with a minimum pledge of $3/month. I’m considering adding a $1/month tier for more access, but would have to weigh that against the processing fees, which would take a proportionally larger cut of the payment—please feel free to reply and let me know if you have an opinion to share about tier pricing.
Patrons will get monthly status updates on my life and my projects, a monthly Q&A post to ask me craft questions, and goodies such as limited print run pamphlets, signed books, and audiobook downloads. Everyone who’s signed up as a patron by October 2 will also get a handwritten thank-you card in the mail. Thanks so much for your consideration! My current struggle is not so much not having enough time, but just the daily frustration of not being paid enough. Patreon not only gives me financial breathing room, but also the morale boost of knowing that people out there see and value my work. That means a lot to me and helps me keep going. ❤️
